The Genomic Data Modeling lab is based at the Seattle Children’s Research Institute and the University of Washington in Seattle. We work at the interface of statistical machine learning, probabilistic modeling, regulatory genomics, transcriptomics, and human disease genetics.
If you are interested in working with us, send your CV or resume to pejmanm@uw.edu along with a short note describing your background, research interests, and what kinds of problems you would like to work on. We are especially interested in exceptional candidates whose interests strongly align with the lab.
We are especially interested in applicants with strong scientific programming experience and interests spanning genomics, statistical genetics, machine learning, bioinformatics, optimization, or probabilistic modeling.
If you are interested in graduate work in the lab, you must first be admitted through a relevant UW graduate program. Related options include Seattle-MCB and UW Genome Sciences. If you are interested in working with us, you are welcome to mention Dr. Mohammadi in your application. Feel free to reach out before applying.
For postdocs, staff scientists, and research trainees
Even when we are not actively recruiting for a specific opening, we remain interested in hearing from exceptional researchers with strong fit to the lab. Our work is especially relevant to candidates interested in regulatory genomics, transcriptomics, allele-specific analysis, rare disease genomics, multimodal RNA phenotyping, and statistical or mechanistic modeling.
Experience in any of the following areas is particularly valuable: genomics, statistical genetics, sequencing data analysis, bioinformatics, machine learning, probabilistic modeling, statistics, computer science, and optimization. Extensive scientific programming experience is essential.
